Foundation Geography

Foundation Geography provides the basic spatial elements to any map. Layers of information are combined to create base maps.

Geographic Information Services is responsible for the creation, maintenance and dissemination of foundation information, data services and applications.

Anything can be mapped.

Thematic Geographic Data is mapped information that is displayed on foundation maps.  Thematic layers may be mapped using information that contains a spatial component such as an address, community or geographic coordinates.

Government partners and agencies build, maintain and share thematic geography.
